Water Street in Las Cruces.  There will be pizza, soda and lots of earth friendly farm! If you have any questions or would like additional information regarding this or any Community After Hours please feel free to contact the UWSWNM Office at (575) 524-7561.

UW Community After Hours with ASCMV

The United Way of Southwest New Mexico would like to invite you to our very first Community After Hours this Thursday, March 25th from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.

We will be hosting the Animal Service Center of Mesilla Valley and working together to make colorful adoption bandanas for pets that are looking for their forever homes!  There will be pizza, soda and lots of good company – everyone who is interested in volunteering their time to help make bandanas at this one-night event and learn more about the ASCMV is welcome to join us!

The ASCMV is the only open-admission shelter in Dona Ana County and takes in over 15,000 animals each year, which works out to be around 40 animals each day.  That means 75.3 animals come to the shelter per every 1,000 residents of our community!

The United Way of Southwest New Mexico will be hosting a Community After Hours event each month highlighting one of our communities non-profit programs and hosting a project for their benefit – a great opportunity to make a couple hours of your free time count towards building a better life for everyone in southwest New Mexico!

Please join us at the UWSWNM Office at 110 S. Water Street in Las Cruces to kick off our Community After Hours program this Thursday as we work to help the ASCMV in just one small way!   If you have any questions or would like additional information regarding this or any Community After Hours please feel free to contact the UWSWNM Office by phone at (575) 524-7561 or send an e-mail to anthea@unitedwayswnm.org.
