La Pinon is currently recruiting volunteers for their new Parent Talk – Warm Line.

Sexual Assault Recovery Services of Southern New Mexico
The Parent Talk- Warm Line will be available 24/7 for parents who have children who are young infants to 5 years old. The goal is to reduce the likelihood of abuse or neglect by providing non-judgmental support, information and resources to parents to help them deal with childrearing difficulties and stresses. Sometimes just having someone to talk to can make all the difference in the world to a parent who is stressed!
To ensure that our volunteers are comfortable, confident and well informed when talking to parents, they will be asked to complete 40 hours of training provided by La Pinon. Phone shifts will be 12 or 24 hours and staff backup is always available.
For more information or to receive an application, please contact Bernadine Dallago at 575-571-6654 or Nancy Barnes-Smith at 575-522-4022.
