Help the Chamber thank the soldiers of White Sands Missile Range

Donate prizes or volunteer to support the men and women that keep America safe!

The Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce will hold the annual Thanks Team WSMR event on October 14, 2010, and we want your help saying thank you for the service of the civilian staff and military personnel of White Sands Missile Range along with their families.

Thanks Team WSMR is an annual event hosted by the Chamber that brings area businesses together to provide a day of food and fun for the men and women of White Sands Missile Range. More than 12 local restaurants have committed to provide food for the day and the Las Cruces Public Schools will host a children’s area filled with games and activities for younger members of the crowd. With troops returning from service in the Middle East and their families, the Chamber is expecting more than 1,000 attendees.

Several businesses have already made donations including: airline tickets, gift certificates, movie tickets, massages, promotional items, sports equipment, T-shirts, toys and more.

The Chamber is also seeking volunteers to work on the day of event setting up, serving food, serving beverages and more. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Committee Chair Savonne Griffin at sgriffin@firstlightfcu.org.

Should you have any questions regarding your donation or the Thanks Team WSMR event, please feel free to contact Alesia Dutton at (575) 524-1968 or adutton@lascruces.org
